On 19th August 2013 we received the devastating news that our baby girl was so poorly that we had to make a life changing decision. To progress with the pregnancy knowing that our baby girl would either die naturally or suffer terribly after birth, or terminate the pregnancy. Not much of a choice really. On 20th August we named our daughter Pippa Ann and went thought with the termination. On 25th August 2013 at 4pm Pippa Ann Smithson was finally born sleeping. She was the most beautiful perfect 1Ib 5oz baby with mummy's button nose and daddy's lips. By raising money in Pippa's memory we hope to support Sands in the great work that they do. Helping other parents in similar situations and helping train nurses and midwives on making devastating experiences like ours more peaceful.
